JOHN L. SULLIVAN SAYS JOHNSON NO REAL RING "CHAMP" fit. Paul, ' Minn., Pec, I. John L. Sullivan said today that Jack Johnson has no real right to claim the champion ship as the result of his victory over Tommy Burns at Sydney, as he consid ers the present day bouts mere boxing matcnea. "The fight resulted much as I ex pected. I never could see how a goo4 little man had a show with, a good big man, as was this case." said John I "Even with the victorv over the so- called champion of the world, though in my opinion Burns never was cnam plon of the world, the negro can't as lima that title. "The present day bouts can't truly be styled prise fights. They are merely boxing matches where padded mlts are used. I can't see where Johnson is f iven a high position in the opinion of he general American public. I don't think the country will make a great howl over the colored man when he returns. . ... "In my -opinion ths American public is fast losing interest in the manly art. Johnson undoubtedly will get two or three fights in this country, but it is only a question of time until he meets a better man, which Is always the case. CIIRISTMAS DAY SPORT RESUME Fall River.
