Supply and demand were Just about en a pax in me wuwi .mi turkey this morning. While there were quite a few arrival In from the coun try, shipments were not over-liberal and demand took car of what came without sacrificing values. Beet dressed tur keys continued to sell at 25c although If birds were not strictly up to top 4 notch both as regards quality and dress ing a lower value was named, while there was only a limited call from the outside today because of the high prices tne snipmenxs were quivo ' . Too Hany DresseA s. The Front street markets are over gupplled with dressed geese and for that -reason somewhat lower prices were named than usual. Dressed ducks found a fair call but there was but lit tie movement in dressed chickens be cause of the enormous holdings. Live chickens moved rather slow around 11 CPlltto a pound; tho xormer lor cieaa ma an 1 u f tr flT ftmall lOtS. The market was quite well supplied today with wild geese from the south Wltn normal quoiauona mun. Xros Are nowlng Weaknes. . There was a weaker feeling In the egg market along Front street during the day. While one or two houses con tinue to say thev are able to secure as high as 45c for eggs It is a noticeable fact that dealers who are offering free ly at 40c are unable to move them quite as well as might be expected. The egg situation as a. whole is somewhat weaker with several wholesale grocer ies offering from 883.c. This is to cleanup In anticipation of still lower values arter me nouauya. Bun of run Zs Good, ' A very good run of salmon 1 still reported from the lower Columbia river. Th market is now oulte well supplied ,. iih all nrt of fish and orices are ruling as usual. Rasor clams and crabs are again in quite liberal supply but the storm off the coast this morning will prevent further shipments in this di rectlon for a day or so. However, It is quite likely that the supplies are now sufficient to lane xuu care ox tue uui Iday trade. Dressed Meats Are Very rirm. A very firm tone Is ruling today In the dressed meat markets alowig Front street Veal is rirmest wiin 100 ot talnable for any good quality, while one or two merchants are said to have "held up" theft trade for 10 Ho a pound. This latter Is not the general figure and Ja practically prohibitive. Creased hogs were In fair supply along the Street this morning but the market was firmer and all arrivals wete moved up quickly at top values. - Brief irotes of JTront Street Trade.
