The ceremonies by v which the three candidates were advanced to the priest hood were t held in the pro cathedral yesterday morning, being conducted by Bishop Bcadding. Rev. Horace Ramsey, rector of the pro -cathedral, delivered the sermon. He spoke of the duty of those who became priests of the church, told how necessary the priesthood was In the worlc of the church and pointed out the esteem In which the priesthood should be held by the people at large. The candidates - were : presented by Rev. George B. Van Waters. The three men were brought, to jOregon by Biwhop tfradding from the cast year ago to aid him. D. from the theological school at Cambridge. Ha was -given the -order --by Bishop Brewer at.Mlddleton Jast.June and. since1 that time - has been in - charge of St. i Luke's mission at Grants Pass. - Rev.- Dorranee--is -from' Providence, R. I. . He is a graduate 'of Harvard and also of the theological school at Cam bridge.
