Leotsakas, a graduate of the University of Athens, Greece, and an Instructor In that Institution, gave his lecture on the "Ancient and Mod ern Greeks" in the assembly room of the East Side High school last night The lecturer was greeted by an audience composed largely of history pupils In the East Side High school. Professor Leotsakas began with the "early ureeft mythology and traced the story of the development of the race down io modern times. stereopueon views were used in illustrating the early Greek wars, and many of the finest productions of Greek sculptors were thrown on the canvas. He quoted from Homer's "Iliad' in the original Greek, and from Virgil's "Aeneid" in the original Latin. views of modern Greek men and women were reproduced, -showing that in the cities the Greeks of today dress very much like Parisians, while the mountaineers in the mountains cling to the peasant costumes. Next Wednesday evening, December 23, Professor Leotsakas will deliver a lecture in the assembly room of the West Side High school, his subject be ing "Greek Athletes, Ancient and Modern."
