If not, why is it that the stone company now makes public statements that Belgian block pavement will not cost any more than brick, and yet heretofore they have been charging property owners about 25 per cent more than the highest grade of brick pavement will cost in Portland? Vitrified brick makers are ready-to meet this stone com petition on any point, and property owners will surely reap the benefit ' The Denny-Renton Clay & Coal Company stand back of their manufacture with gilt-edge security guaranteeing the life of their make of brick, free of cost to property owners, for ten years, on such a basis that the pavement itself at the expiration of that time will carry a guarantee in itself for fully ten to fifteen years more. With the life of the pavement thus assured at a less cost, why keep out this competition? ' ... Denny-Rhtoii Clay& - "fc . By W. G; Mitchell, Res. Agt. 824 Chamber of Commerce ? . issdyta . Sis?
