Of the Bryan meet ing there September 24. The report hag been substantiated by the Cincinnati Knqulrer. which is not supporting Bryan. No word of protest has come from Mr. Taft; no Intimation thnt he would like to demonstrate his ability to tell his views, and none will deny that he could tell them if he would, even though It be without grace of oratory or pleasant embellishment. The effect carefully considered and gauged by reuding and talking with men on both sides. Is that either Mr. Taft is regarded as using the president's cloak of popularity under which to en ter the White House, or he is actually unable to define his policies, and is as some of his opponents claim, merely the president's creature. The senator was arrested and taken before a Justice, but was re leased. Senator Trultt took exception to statements made In Orcutt's paper during the recent campaign. The deal as agreed upon gives tha English company three years In which to complete the railroad to the Interior copper districts.
