The Ainsworths and the Misses Flanders are already there and several Pfvrtlanders summering ur north will time their homecoming to be in Seattle at the time. The Hirsches, Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Buffum. Dr. and Mrs. V. j. Barber, while on their wedding trip. They were married Thursday of the week before in Berkeley and on their wfey from California they visited friends. In Eugene they spent a day with Mr. Barbers sister, Mrs. Lewis R. Alderman. They have gone to Seat tle whence they sail immediately for the Philippines wheie Mr. Barber's reg iment is ftatloned They expect to visit first In Japan. Dr. and Mrs. Barber and their daughters, Miss Fan- The president's handsome home is be ing remodeled for her occupancy. Mrs. Campbell Is a woman of much literary and artistic culture and her personality emanates a warmth that pe culiarly fits her for the position sl0 will now hold. President and Mrs. Campbell have been spending their honeymoon at Colorado springs and are now en route home by way of Cali fornia. Mr. and Mrs. Norris B. Gregg have been staying at the Moore at Seaside since their return from their wedding trip through the middle west. Last week they returned to take their new apartments at 664 Flanders street. Mrs. Gregg was Mies Helen Brlghflm whoso marriage was one of the prettiest of the June weddings. Mrs. Kent and her daughter. Miss Louise Kent returned to town Monday and have taken apartments at Elton Court for the winter. Miss Lela Goddard Is entertaining Miss Mabel Cooper of Independence, who was her classmate a year ago in Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moehnke of Wil lamette entertained about 50 of their friends .at their home last Sunday In honor of their son August's birthday. During: the afternoon the Oregon City band, of which Mr. Moehnke is a mem ber, played selections. At 6 o'clock dinner was served in the dining-room, which was prettily decorated In sweet peas and asters. Miss Lydia Vallp, Mrs. K. A. France and Mrs. M. A. Nixon as sisted Mrs. Moehnke.
