In addition to having been mayor of Fargo for several terms Captain Kgbert also published a paper there. Captain Kgbert retired ns a dep uty marshal In Portland In 189R and noon afterward was appointed a lialllff tn the federal court which position he held until May. last year, when he waa compelled to retire on account of his fiillln health.
