Aug. 10 Score of beautiful presenta and as many letters of congratulation poured In at Sagamore Hill today for Mlsa Ethel Roosevelt In honor of her seventeenth birthday. Not only has the event been remembered by her school friends and the members of her famllv. but admirers from all parts of the country have showered her with manifestations of their Interest. AJthough Ethel still retains much of her girlish enthusiasm, she is rapidly growing Into charming womanhood. Her Intellectual attainments are much ' above the average for a girl of her age nnd in manv ways ahe is said to re semble her fllustrlous father. She will not actively enter Washing ton society for severs! years but It Is ' probable ahe will take a prominent place In the White House functions this winter, owing to the fact that It Is the last season her father will spend there.
