"These places are the real menace," said the chairman of the committee, "and there Is no reason why they should be allowed to pursue their bus iness. If we can put them out of bus iness by raising the license I am In favor of such a course. Furthermore, I believe that we can put many of them out of bublness In this manner, which will glvo us the opportunity to keep In closer touch with the remaining res taurants und thus enable their better regulation.
