Her aged husband, Henry Bennett, has asked that letters on her estate be issued to one of his nine sons. The eldest son 60 yeftrs old. Seventeen children in ail were - born to the - Bennetts, three of whom have died.. Two of the deceased children were married before their death and have perpetuated the family tree. Mrs. Bennett was, 77 - years old at the time of her death. The property is worth 84,000. The will gives 81 to each of the children and the remainder to her husband., , , ' Judge Gantenbein yesterday sustained in part the demurrer to the complaint of Clenath L, Goodrich against the city of St. John, in which an effort is be ing made to collect 84.063, alleged to be due to the plaintiff as administrator of the estate of William W. Goodrichwho was for years the pity -engineer. The court held, however, that the fact that Goodrich had not given bond did not affect his standing as an officer during the time the alleged services were per formed, and thai court will allow the case to go to trial on one of the causes of action.
