The launch was 13 feet beam, 66 feet long, and owned by Altree & Scarth. It was lying on the mud Just below Al tree' sawmill, a mile west of town. The value was $5,000. It Is a total loss, as there was no Insurance. The crew had been working on .her of late and had Just left, when the steward, E. Nost, started down Into the hold with a lan tern.
