Ohio,-wherein-Is stated that during tne past three years the city of Cleveland laid about 75 miles of pavement, -three miles of which, were asphalt, two miles of limestone mac adam, and 62 miles of brick pavement In St. Louis, Missouri, during the same period, 16 miles of asphalt were laid, 17 miles of bltuilthlc. six miles of granite block and 44 miles .of vitrified brick. : In Columbus. ' Ohio, during the same period, 400,000 square yards' of asphalt were laid, 176,000 square yards of stone block, but of vitrified brick there-wers laid 1,822.188 square yards. .
