Two firemen were Injured and a se vere prqperty loss Inflicted by a fire that started at 8:60 o'clock yesterday morning in the dry kilns of the Multno mah Mill 4b Construction company, at East Seventh and East Madlaon streets. The high water pressure In the nose caused It to snap and twist like the lash of a whip and before It could be secured the broken noszle struck Frank Slaughter and J. Monto of truck No. 4, knocking them down. Slaughter's nose was broken and his eye blacked by the blow. Monto's injuries were less serious Ths fire started In the dry kiln from the overheating of one of the furnaces. An alarm was turned In from box 212, but the flames spread with such rapid ity that by the time the fire department arrived on the scene the whole Interior of the extensive klln which were filled with lumber, was ablaae. Stream after stream of water was turned Into the biasing structure, but little more could be done than to eonflne the fire to the dry kilns.
