GOOD AND BAD STAND SIDE . BY SIDE AND EACH PROSPER The world Is evenly balanced In near ly all things Including the good and the bad.. When you see a suggestion of badness .you generally also see some ' thing suggesting goodness. Many of the machines are old and rusty and dilapidated and have simply been put away to await developments er to be sold eventually and transferred to some other part of the country. Then they will be adorned with signs which will tell of the wonderful winnings pos sible. But nothing will be said or what one Is liable to lose. Three million bushels of coal are stored In railroad yards and other Dlace in the vicinity pr" Chicago in "preparation against the possibility of a strike by the coal min ers. The operators have In mind the seizure by citizen of supplies of coal On railroad tracks during the last big strike, and are taking time by the fore lock by dally bringing in tralnloads of fuel. They are putting the coal in protected district, where they can guard it against the thieves and confls cators, who constantly annoy them, and' at places easy of access to trains, in case it is to be hastily removed. Every big dealer in Chicago has laid in a supply llmlteu only by the capacity of his bins. If the miners fall to sign a satis factory agreement, they will have the dlsauvantage of trying to win when the roads and dealers are plentifully supplied and fully prepared for a long siege.
