GOOD AND BAD STAND SIDE .
BY SIDE AND EACH PROSPER
The world Is evenly balanced In near
ly all things Including the good and
the bad.. When you see a suggestion of
badness .you generally also see some
' thing suggesting goodness.
A an Illustration of this fact there
Is a Bible house and a slot machine
shop doing business side by side on
Halmon street, between Fourth and
Fifth streets.
In. the machine shop are machine of
every conceivable make. Many of them
are of the nickel In the slot Variety
which were barred from use in the city
by law more than a year ago. Many of
the machines are old and rusty and
dilapidated and have simply been put
away to await developments er to be
sold eventually and transferred to some
other part of the country. Then they
will be adorned with signs which will
tell of the wonderful winnings pos
sible. But nothing will be said or what
one Is liable to lose.
Next door is the Bible establishment
where a different kijid of people come
and go every day people who know
