Joseph Conger, one of Klamath county's oldest citizens, la dead, at his home here, at the age of T( years. He came out on a man biurr overlooking una river, ana saw below, him on the opposite bank a favored spot, sheltered and on the rlver'a bank. He decided to make that spot his home. and for many years he cultivated an orchard and garden there. About two years ago hla health railed, and having more than he could take care of, he sold the areater part of his orchard to the Klamath Canal company, which In turn cut 4t up into small tracts, and several Klamath Falls citizens own and prise tnese tracts. "He told me that he was with another man when Conductor Nevlns of the Rose City Park line waa killed, and that the other man did the killing. He said that he held up a milkman on the street near the livery stable where Po liceman Glttlngs was shot, and that he held up three milkmen in 20 minutes on tne Hiavin roaa. All of these incidents are familiar in police annate, and the finding of the revolver and belt in the exact place described by Hilt Is regarded as cor roboration for Hilt's story that cannot be escaped.
