MEAT INSPECTION "The last bulletin of the health department reports that during the week the city meat inspectors, at the Union stockyards condemned and destroyed 16,190 ppunds of meat. None of this meat came from the large packing establishments, for all the meat handled in them, whether it is to be sent out of the city or to be consumed here, has to v pass the rigid examination of government inspectors, whose careful work has been praised by Secretary Wilson. No plant in which there are government inspectors is allowed to turn out unin spected products for any purpose."" It is a part of this same magnificent network of United States government inspection that is providing Oregon with sound Oregon meats.
