I The ' task of Hating the , asaata and liabilities of the Oregon Truat at Bar Inga bank proceeds slowly but steadily under direction of Becelrer Devlin, as sisted by Prealdent W. K. Moore and a force of bank clerks. At the close of business last , night President Moore said: "The officers of the bank feel much enoouraged over the situation. The bank's condition tonight looks much bet ter than they had room to hope for. Money is coming In very well, and the prospects are good." Collec tion of accounts due Is being pushed as fast aa they, can be out in shape for collection. C Morris is expected to arrive at Seattle tomor row, and he wilt probably come direct to Portland and land assistance In straightening- out the accounts. His fa miliarity with the affairs of the bank will ensile htm to render Invaluable aid to the receiver, aa the cashier had charge of Inumerable details that were solely within bis province as an sxecutlve officer. "Good chance, for sawmills, dairying, farming, fruit raising. Now is the time for the settler and every man who wants to make good in the Tillamook country." Contractor Berry Is right NOW IS THE TIME. With such opportunities for material development, how long will it take for your money and my money to be earning handsome incomes? Money invested in Bay City real estate nine months ago has yielded a profit more than equal to the investment. Seott Use, X There's only one absolutely safe place to put your money and that's in real estate, well selected. To be positive that you have madea good selection, buy your property CITY fARK A lot In Rose City Park cannot burn up. Once yours, it is yours as long as you see fit to keep it. Factories, buildings and homes may burn to the ground, but there is no power cm earth that can budge a Rose City Park lot. A lot In Rose City Park cannot be stolen from you. There is not a man in the nation strong enough to carry it from its place. Burglars cannot steal it and panics cannot touch it Safety deposit vaults do not com pare with it at all The floods cannot wash it away qor can it be watered by preferred stockholders to its injury. The recession of the waters leaves it as it was before the floods came. It's yours; all yours, to do as you please with it. The winds may come and blow away fences, houses and barns, but a Rose City Park lot Is as. steadfast as a mountain range. Nothing is more securely anchored to you than a pieceof the earth itself. Once placed by nature it is immovable. No man can pack a Rose City Park lot into a grip and take it away with him. Even a team of elephants cannot unfasten it from its moorings. See it today and go back tomorrow and you will always find it where you left it. A lot in Rose City Park cannot take wings unto itself and fly away or legs and run. It will stay right where it is as long as you want it to and long after. Other possessions may become lost or put aside. Real estate, never. It's there forever. Stocks and and none tomorrow: bonds may rise and fall; wheat, oats, cotton, corn, hops and wool may go up or go down; we may have a jd6 'today " jmorrow ; our income may be large today and small to morrow : banks, business houses and firms may fail : misfortune or fortunemayvisit us at anymoment; death mayconie and ill-luck sweep away all that we have; but, is it not a fact that tvhatever may ' , " happen, a lot in Rose City Park is the same, day after day, incre asing in value and steadily adding to the substantiality of a man's - assets? Whatever the condition of the money market it is an axiom that is sounding in clarion tones from the. length to the breadth of the nation that Portland real estate is a gilt edged secu rity that will always net a handsome profit There is one pointed moral with abundance of significance at the present time: Buy a lot or two in Rose City Park and let the world go its way. You'll win. . Chlnmtoor of Commcrco aaaaysv smu or t t
