The contract for building the central section of the new' university building was let by the ' - board of regents this morning to A. D. Whlteway of Boise for 6162,817. This Is 666.000 lower than Mr. Wblteway's ' first bid, submitted four days ago. and "i 626.000 lower than the bid of-th-Camp- bell Building company of Salt Lake, ' which was the lowest bidder at that time. The board considered the first if bids excessive and rejected them. J Mr. Whlteway was given 10 days to , file his bond and 80 days to begin work. '"The central section will be 200 by 70 ieet.
