Percy Colbert, arrived Saturday for a short visit with relative! in II waco, He returned to ichool the firt of the week. The following teachers in the II- waco Public Schools, returned the latter part of last week from their holiday vacation spent with relative and fricnd:Mmses Ciss, Hitsman Hughe, Iferrschner and Scott. Dan Markham, nuor of Ilwaco, left the latter part oflast week, for Lebam, Wash, to visit with hie son Sol Markham and family. Mr. and Mrs A. Whirt, of Oyster ville, were in this city Saturday, visi ting with their daughter Mn. W. A Graham and family. Several men of this city left th latter part of last week for the Nasel, Wn., where they will be employed in various logging camps, in that vicin ity. They are as followi: Ernest Sam ple, Joe Markham, Geo. Koford.Geo Ross.and James Vaughn. Mim l-.rna Yeaton left Saturday for Deep River, where she i teaching school, after pcnding several days with her father Frank Yeaton, at the head o( the bay; she was accompanied as far as Cathlamct by her lister, Alice, who returned to school in Van couver, Wn. James Gold and wife, who have been living in Chinook for a month or more, have moved back to Ilwaco nd expect to make this their home for some time. Miss Connie Robinson, of the Wal licut, will make her home with Mr. nd Mrs. Wm. Gregory for a few months, and attend the Ilwaco Pub lie School for the remainder of the term. John R. Coulter, chairman of the board of Pacific county commission ers, left the first of the week for South Bend, Wn. to attend a meeting of the commissioners held in that city begming Tuesday of this week. George Woodruff arrived Monday from his home in the northern pa't of this state, to visit his brother H.B. Woodruff, for a few days. R. A. Hawkins made a business trip to Astoria the first of the week. Miss Cora Hawkins, left Mondav for Portland, for a short visit with friends. R. H. Herrold, returned Monday from Oswego, Ore., where he has been visiting his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Herrold. Mr. Edgar Rogers, Miss Mabel Rogers, and Miss Marie Dahl, left Monday for Portland, Ore. where they are attending school, after spend -ing the holidays with their parents of this city. ' Mr. Abraham Tuelila, is building a commodious addition to his resi dence on Bay Avenue. Mr. O. G. Heller was a visitor to Astoria the first of the week, where he was having some improvements made on the dynamo of the Ilwaco Electric Light Plant.
