When there is sickness, examine the urine. Rheumatism is only a symptoms of kidney trouble. It is nothing more or less than excessive uric acid in the blood, which the 14q sluggish, inactive kidneys have failed 130 1 IO SUI out leaving u iu ucconiposc and settle about the joints and muscles, causing intense suffering; frequently resulting in deformity; often reaching the heart when death ensues. , Pains across the back, frequent, painful and suppressed urination and other symptoms of weak bladder are not the only signs of kidney trouble; many cases of stomach disease, head ache, pain in the heart, inactive liver, etc., are but symptoms; the cause of which can be traced to feeble, clogged kidneys. A simple test of the urine is to void a small quantity in a bottle or glass and let stands over night; next morn ing, if there is a red-dish brick-dust sediment, or white, fleecy substance present either consult some reputable physician or take a good vegetable treatment. The following prescrip tion is recommended highly in these cases, and the sufferer should mix it at home: Compopnd Kargon, one ounce; Fluid Extract Dandelion, one half ounce; Compound Syrup Sarsa- parilla, three ounces. Shake well and use in teaspoonful doses after each meal and at bedtime. Where any of the symptoms enu merated above are present, good re suits are sure to follow immediately the use of this simple prescription. 1908 212 149 138 196 1136 46 26 35 18 14 12 10 4 57 7 10 51 27 3 126 18 4 19 71 15 8 581 For the Young M&m of JUL vjcyw o GLIDQEN CUP TOUR. It will be a kind of heart to heart talk by Mayor Busse and con troller Wilson with the heads of other municipalities on matters of common interest to alL What the mayor and the controller would like to find out is why Chicago has so little spending money, although the tax rate is steadily going higher. According to the reports so far received the same, if not worse con ditions existed in the finances of the . larger cities throughout the state. The municipalities have a hard time making both ends meet. These con ditions will be described in detail in the conference and then from a com parison of the results an attempt will be made to fix the blame and find the remedy. . It is more than likely that as a re sult of the meeting a movement for a thorough revision of the states tax system will be started. JAPANESE EMBEZZLERS.
