The fire was caused by a ,spark from one of Brlx Brothers' logging engines ,aad spread rapidly. One of the employes of the camp came over yesterday aft ernoon on .the jtteamer Eclipse, He stated thnf the fire was still raging when he left, and that it was impos sible to estimate the exact amount of damage that would be done. Biix Bros, have four logging engines,' on which was loaded everything mov able, and the engines were run down tht track out of range of the fire. The smoke was so dense that It could not be told whether or not the trestle work would be destroyed, but It Is be lieved there will be considerable loss In that direction. A member of the firm snld yesterday afternoon that he thought the loss would reach $3000 or $1000. It will be impossible, however. to get an accurate idea of the exact loss for several days to come.
