General Salazar, governor of Pana ma, Informs a representative of '.he Associated Press that he has received a note from the revolutionary general, Herrera, saying that he is willing to accept some peace proposals. General Salazar will send commissioners who will offer General Herrera the terms contained In the recent degree issued by -President Marroquin. These com mltoners win probably go to meet General Herrera on ithe United Special sen-Ice steamer Ranger, permission for this purpose has been asked from the Washington authorities by United States Consul Gudger by 'cable dis puatch. Consul Gudger will probably accompany the commissioners. EARTHQUAKES FREQUENT AT SATANDER. SPAIN. MADRID, July 25. Frequent earth auake shocks have been ele recently between Satander, capital of the prov ince of Asturtas. The shocks were ac companied by subterranean noises. All Hopes of Localizing Disease Have Been Abandoned. LONDON, July 25 In a dispatch from Cairo, Egype, the correspondent there of the Dally Telegraph flays that the utmost consternation prevails, ow ing to the terrifying progress of chol era. All hope of localizing the disease. says the correspondent, has been aban doned and there is no doubt that Egypt will have to meet a devastat ing epidemic. The disease appeared Thursday in practically every quarter of Cairo, 42 new cases being recorded. Several natives fell dead at their work. Temporary hospitals are being erect ed. The British regiments at Cairo will leave to camp In the desert at the earliest moment. Slightly better reports, according to the Telegraph's correspondent, have been received from Upper Egypt. SENATORS TO VISIT HAWAII. ABILENE, Kas.. July 25. Senator Mitchell, of Oregon, chairman of the Hawaii committee, has notified Sena tor Burton, who Is a member of the committee, that four of the five met bers expect to make the trip to Ha waii.
