President Castro has taken command of the Ven ezuelan troops at Barcelona. The force numbers about 3900 men. President Castro asserts that he will have crushed the revolu tion, headed by Senor Matos, within IS days. The A'enezuela gov ernment has fortified and entrenched Puerto Cabello. An attack on that place by the revolutionists Is expected shortly. If this occurs the city will be shelled.
