It is the custom of most county courts to deal very gently with the manufacturers of moonshine whisky. BY ITS FRUITS The country Is much less Interested in the pronouncements of the Civil Ser vice Reform League than it Is In the manner in which the public business is conducted. If the Harding admin istration continues to cut expenses and reduce government payrolls, the tax payers will merely laugh at the fulmi natlons of protestants who never suc cessfully conducted a business of their own but poso as authorities on how a large government establishment should be conducted. "Yes, Juek," said Uncle Ted, "there is probably no bigger or more im portant problem facing our govern ment today than this huge debt, the money for whlrh was raised by the various Liberty bond drives and through other sources, which I wl'.l tell you of later. Aboull a year ago Secretary of the Treasury Mellon talked over with President Harding how this money could bo ben: re funded. President Harding went Into the ma'ter at once with Congress nnd both theaa big meu pointed out that it would be a fine way to have these debts put Into the form of bonds, car rying a certain amount of interest anu with a Bet dale when tliey should be at this time or even la the immad'at.- future, ii'.ir th!3 reJ3"n the plan is to refund the debts by having the countries issue bends to tho UnitiJ States. Tlu'sa bonds, as provided by r.a lav creating the Commission, shall carry a rate of interest not lower than 4Vi per cent and they must ma ture not later than June 15, 1S47. As soon as this refunding plan has been worked out and Is In operation, the law provides Hint tho commission shall have no further control in the matter. ''After these bonds have been Is sued they may be sold or hel.! by the United States government. Thij will be determined later, so that what ever is best for the United States can be done. Of course, after a while, when the commission has gone deeper Into a study ot these countries anu their debts more laws njay bo neces sary, and many changes may have to be made ln the present plans But the main point is that President Hard ing and his ablo advisors are going carefully Into this important matter so that the very best can be done for the United Sw'es. "The commission has already Invited negotiations with all the debtor na tions and before long we hopo to 3ce the entire debt adjusted so tnat It can be nald with as little trouble as pos sible considering the huge amounts "Goodform" HAIR NETS Just the Shape or Color that tho Most Fastidious Feminine Tastes May Desire Careful Selection from Imported Stocks Guaran taes Them Perfect s Wa are as Prctid to Soil Thorn as You Will Be to Wear Them "Goodform" Nets Are Made For and Sold Exclusively by REXALL Stores Only popularly priced at 2 for 25 cents Double Mesh toledo drug co.
