(11) West Wilt Meridian, and running thence S. 0 degrees 07 minutes West on the center line of said Suction No. Five .6) above described 660 feet to a post near Wagon Bridge, Thence East 660 feet to a pout, thence N. 0 degrees 07 minutes 660 feet to a Post situate on the north boundary of said Section No. Five (5) above described, thence west along yie North boundary of said section No. (5) 660 fe t to the place of beginning the same containing Ten (10) acres according to the survey thereof. Henry Olson, travelling Freight Agent for the Southern Pacific Lines, was a Toledo visitor the first of the week. W. II. Mr. Hamtlr has a contract for the building of two bridges on Drift Creek. Myrna Miller is home from Tort- land where he recenily underwent several severe operations. He seems to be gettijng along nicely. 1 Gust Ketola of Taft was a county seat visitor Monday.- Mr. Ketola re ports quite a few salmon being caught in the Siletz at present. Circuit Judge G. P. Skipworth and Court Reporter Calkins of Eugene passed thru yesterday to Newport, driving down in the former's Oakland car. Jim Trowbridge of Newport passed thru to Portland yesterday. Jim ex pects to bring a fishing boat down from Portland to fish the halibut banks off this coast. Merchant S. E. Newkirk returned Sunday from a trip to Salem. Hewas accompanied by his mother, Mri". S. T. Newkirk, of the Capitol City, who will visit here for a time. Miss Helga Larson arrived home from Albany last week, at which place she has been visiting since school closed at Monmouth. We understand that Miss Helga will teach the Stan ton school this winter. Miss Lavfna Wlddows arrived down from her home at Barlow, last evening, for a visit with her brother, Abe, who Is employed with the State Highway Engineers here. She will Incidentally visit the beach while here. Mrs. Mable Parker left for Corvallis Tuesday after spending the past ten days with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schaffer of this city. While here they motored to Yachats for a few dys outing and all reported a flnej time. Mnl. Lily R. Booker of Siletz was In the city Saturday, coming ove with her grand daughter, Miss Frances Taylor, who departed on the noon train for California. The Doctor took a ride in an aeroplane while at Salem and say he enjoyed the experience fine. He has Just completed a new book and says that it is the best one he has written.
