on the North Boundary of Section
Five (5) In Township No. Eleven
South of Riange No. Eleven. (11)
West Wilt Meridian, and running
thence S. 0 degrees 07 minutes West
on the center line of said Suction No.
Five .6) above described 660 feet to
a post near Wagon Bridge, Thence
East 660 feet to a pout, thence N.
0 degrees 07 minutes 660 feet to a
Post situate on the north boundary
of said Section No. Five (5) above
described, thence west along yie
North boundary of said section No.
(5) 660 fe t to the place of beginning
the same containing Ten (10) acres
according to the survey thereof.
And that the above described tract
be EOld by the Sheriff of Lincoln
County, Oregon, as provided by law
to satisfy tiie amount due anil owing
plaintiff on said mortgage; and further
for a decree that each of said de
fendants and all of them and all per
sons claiming by, through or under
you said defendants, may be barred
and foreclosed of any estate, right,
title, lien or interest in or to said
mortgaged premises or any part there

lief as may be equitable and just.

iNotice is hereby given ithat the
Common Council of the City of Tole
do, Oregon, will receive bids for the
construction of a sewer in Block. 27
in Elizabeth Graham's 5th Addition
to the City of Toledo, Oregon, in ac
cordance to the plans and specifica
tions thereof on file in the office of the
City Recorder of said city, all bids
to be accompanied by a certified check
for ten per cent of the amount of the
bid. The contractor whose bid is ac
cepted will be required to furnish to
the said city a good and sufficient
bond with two sureties who shall jus
tify in a sum equal to the amount of
the bond, the principal sum of said
bond to equal the amount of the bid,
and to be tor the faiihful performance
and completion of said work. The
Common Council reserves the right
to reject any and all bids. Said bids
to be filed with the City Recorder of
said city within ten days after the
first publication of this notice.

Gust Ketola of Taft was a county
seat visitor Monday.- Mr. Ketola re
ports quite a few salmon being caught
in the Siletz at present.
Circuit Judge G. P. Skipworth and
Court Reporter Calkins of Eugene
passed thru yesterday to Newport,
driving down in the former's Oakland
car.
Jim Trowbridge of Newport passed
thru to Portland yesterday. Jim ex
pects to bring a fishing boat down
from Portland to fish the halibut
banks off this coast.
Merchant S. E. Newkirk returned
Sunday from a trip to Salem. Hewas
accompanied by his mother, Mri". S.
T. Newkirk, of the Capitol City, who
will visit here for a time.
Miss Helga Larson arrived home
from Albany last week, at which place
she has been visiting since school
closed at Monmouth. We understand
that Miss Helga will teach the Stan
ton school this winter.
Miss Lavfna Wlddows arrived down
from her home at Barlow, last evening,
for a visit with her brother, Abe, who
Is employed with the State Highway
Engineers here. She will Incidentally
visit the beach while here.
Mrs. Mable Parker left for Corvallis
Tuesday after spending the past ten
days with her sister and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Schaffer of this city.
While here they motored to Yachats
for a few dys outing and all reported
a flnej time.

Dr. Linton of Wbldport passed thru
Saturday evening, enroute from the
Elks doings at Salem to his home at
Waldport. The Doctor took a ride in
an aeroplane while at Salem and say
he enjoyed the experience fine. He
has Just completed a new book and
says that it is the best one he has
written. We are looking forward to
reading a copy as soon as it is off the
press.
