Three nutos und two boat loaf's of Masons went to New port Monday nleht to visit the , kiUed ls hard to understand, lodfo there, returning home n A TRUE "FORD STORY" Last Sunday evening as Ralph Pepin was driving his Ford car into town he had what might have been a most serious acci dent. On the Siletz road, lust north of the Dundon bridge, where there is a high embank ment. Besides Pepin there were fnnr nthpra In tha nnr Miacaa I Hazel and Cecile Lutey, Basil Lutey . and Earnest Parrish. Hazel Lutey suffered a broken collar bone. Earnest Parrish had his hand'slightly hurt. Ba sil Lutey escaped without injury. Cecile Lutey was pinned under the overturned car but was not seriously hurt, escaping with a few bruises. Ralph .Pepin., the driver, received a nasty bump on , the head but was otherwise un hurt.. The accident occured just as the car rounded a curve and was caused by a tire blowing out, which caused Pepin to lose con trol of the car. As the car went over the grade it narrowly missed hitting a telephone pole. The car went head on down the bank for about thirty feet, when it struck a barbed wire fence, which caused the car to slew around sideways and turn over. When it stopped it had turned completely around and was up side down. That some of the occupants of the car were not O R.
