Gardner returnd Monday evening from Cali fornia, where he has been for the past two weeks. Ivan McJunkin left on the excur sion train Sunday evening for the state of Idaho, where he will re main several months. J. H. Bones of Airlie was visiting with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ball and family here last week. He re turned home Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Sherwocd were passengers, for Albany Satur day morning, .Mrs. Sherwood re turning on the excursion Sunday. The Port dredger will commence operations Monday by dredging near the mouth of Depot slough. Claude Davics will be in charge of the dredge during the trial opera tions of the first week or so.
