Among the thirteen successful applicants for admission to the bar at Salem last week was one Toledo boy. George B. McCluskey, our present County Treasurer, is purely a Lincoln county man, having been born and grew to manhood on the farm one mile north of Toledo. He received his education in the public schools here and at Philomath Col lege, and has been a successful school teacher for the past ten years. He began the study of law ! in the office of Attorney C. E. Hawkins in this city about two years ago. His success ai being admitted ; to practice law was won through hard and persistent study.
