It can't be beat. When you see a banana peel rest ing on the Hidewalk and a fat man unconsciously approaching it, tho indications point to an early fall. The rock crusher for use of the county in -making roads arrived in Toledo Tuesday evening, This ma chine has a capacity of 10 tons per h ur. As soon as the sidetrack is laid the machine will be set up and ;ut in operation, The engines and l her road making machinery will f How soon. The Modern Improvement Com mny is building a barge 20x70 for their pilednver i.nd derrick, Tho oarge is being built at the Toledo, shipyard and will be ready to launch in a couple of weeks, As soon as completed it will bo takon to New- Irt, where tho company has a contract for tho government driving piling for the life saving station. They have several jobs ahead and the construction work is being 'rushed as fast as possible. The Toledo Light, Power and Manufacturing Company has con cluded to build their plant nearer town than- was at first intended, They have graded and the lumber is on the ground ami they will build on tho southeast corner of J, F, Stewart's property adjoining tovn. The building will bo 21x24, one story, with a lean-to for boiler room. Tho dynamos are hero and the lioilur and engine will bo hero by the time tho building is completed, An eighty horsepower boiler will be installed. These pooplo are putting in a plant capable of supplying h town twioe tho size of Toledo, but they have hopes of ti c growth of the town and do not intond tearing out this machinery in a year or two to be replaced by a larger plant.
