For cording to his reasons unknown w viiv wa.v wuw 11 V - well khown to most of the members of the League, the Reporter of this week makes an insane attack upon the League in his patent medicine sheet that is almost as . interesting reading as his famous "derbv let- tor." For the benefit of the public generally, let me say that the Tole- do Development League includes nearly every business man of the city on its membership roll. Dad Clark would not join, and the only reason that seemed to appear was because he could not be president of the League when it was first formed Now he comes out -with a couple of columns of bile because the League is trying to do something for Toledo and Lincoln county. He sneers at the League for its failure to get a ferry across the river at Toledo. May the Lord have mercy-on his soule, if he has one. The citizens of Toledo medered over ftl.000 far ! and the members of the League did not do their part, but because we had too many Clarks. He says the League has only, ac complished a few things. How many have you accomplished, Dad Clark? Have you ever supported a public enterprise since running a paper in Toledo unless you were paid for it? And then there was no assurance that you would not sell out. The matter is with Dad Clark, he thinks that everything ought to con tribute towards 'his paper. The League had Borne printing to do, and it gave it to a member of the League to print. It was the League's work, to be paid for by the League's money. It did not -come from Clark. But Dear Dad Clark, don't get mad because the League entertained some public men, and did not ask you to preside. Remember that nobody kicked when you discovered Cake, and printed his card and picture. 'You had it all to yourself, and while everybody knows that you seperated Cake from a good wad of "dough" nobody got jealous. Come Dad, wake up; You are in j a ve town, get alive, liet in and j help the League or anybody else to a live town, get alive. Get in and push for Toledo and dont have to be bought every time a public mat ter comes forward. . A Member of the League. "One Touch of Nature Malcea the Whole World Kin." When a rooster find a big fat worm ho calls all the hena ia the farm yard to come and share it. A similar trait of human nature is to be observed when a man discovers something ex optionally wnnH h vmrita - all liia friends and neighbors to share the benefits of his discovery. This is the touch of nature that makes the whole world kin.. This explains why people who have been cured by Chamberlain's Congh Remedy writes letters to tlie manufacturers for publication, that others similarly ailing may also use it and obtain relief. Behind every one of these letters is a warm hearted wish of the writer to be of use to someone else. This remedy is for sale bv Otio 0. Krogetad. . Call For County Warrants.
