The M. F. Plant for San Francisco and the Alliance for Portland sailed today, the Plant crossing out this morning and the Alliance this after noon. The Alliance had nearly 100 tons d cashes and doors from the North Bend factory for eastern markets. The Alliance also had one of the largest outgoing passenger lists that she has carried In a long time, the first class accommodations helng crowded to capacity. It is expected that when the Plant reaches here next trip that her new dock and warehouse on North Front street wjll be ready for her. Agent F. S. T)ow is arranging to move his ofces from the old location to the new nuarters this week and will prob ably start this afternoon. Among those who sailed on the Plant were the following: E. A. Returning home, she found that bur glars had ransacked the house top to bottom and stolen the treasure. Diamonds worth $3,000 belonging to Mrs. Mary England, which were lying loose In a bureau drawer were untouched. More enthusiasm Is now shown over the project than at any time since Its inception. Today a number of local people who own considerable. property here have been talking of starting a bonus fund. One man has promised to give at least $10,000 as soon as the road is completed and several have in dicated that they would givp $5,000 or upwards apiece. A prominent Roseburg man stated the other day that he was confident that Roseburg would grant a bonus of $150,000 or $200,000 for the road. With these pledges In sight, little difficulty in financing the project is anticipated when the survey and right of way is secured. NAME MEX FOR COMMISSION.
