It is not out of its banks In many places yet and consequently Is not causing any damage. Logs For Mill. VThere are about 1,500 logs In the Cedar Point boom for the North Bend mill which are being brought over. These logs with others to be brought down will bo ample to keep the mill busy prac tically continuously henceiorth. Station at Bandon. The United Wireless Telegraph, Company is fig uring on putting in a station at Ban don. O; P. Hopsou and other repre sentatives of the company have gone thero with a view of selling some stock to Bandon citizens. Improve Catching Inlet. Capt. Harris and other residents of Sum ner have petitioned tho County court to make an appropriation for Im proving the upper channel of Catch ing Inlet. Tho board has practically agreed to give a dollar for every dollar that tho Interested citizens ralso for tho Improvement. It is planned to dredge the channel so that scows with lumber and freight can bo hauled to Sumner at high tide. Grimes On Committee. Inadver tently, the name of Col. Wm. Grimes was omitted from tho committee to arrango for naming and numbering tho streets of Marshfield in Tho Times yesterday. As the committeo named Is an active ono, it is believed that they will solve tho question so that a system can be adopted at once.
