"While driving dowri Broadway, a bolt slipped out loosen ing one 'side of the tongue. This frlgh'ten'ed the horses and made it impossible forthe lad to ciilde them. They' turned off Broadway near the Merchant home and the rig. striking a stump overturned, young Walters belrig under the box. The horses j broke away but didn't run far as one of the animals had sustained an Injury to Its hip that caused it to fall. It is feared that the animal will have to be shot. They killed five deer, Thayer Grimes getting the first one and Dr. House worth and Col. Grimes two apiece. JAY DOYLE came in from Curry county this mc-rnlng with two deer as trophies of his marksmanship. He said that he was unable to find the eight that W. J. Conrad and Clayton Schooley killed while they were out with him early last week. M. J. MANGAN returned on the City of 'Panama with his wife and baby boy and Mrs. Mangan's sister, Mls3 Jessie Chard, who will make her home with the Mangans.
