My policy if elected shall be Coos county first, Inst, and all the time. I am in favor of an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, providing for the election of United States senator by a direct vote of the people. 1 am in favor of such legislation as shall secure and pro tect the American workingman in ids rights, and favor amend ing the labor lien laws of the State so as to fully protect tho laborerjn all occupations. .For upon the welfare of this clnss of our citizens depends the stability of our government. The right 'to organize for protection against tho encroachments of capital is an inherent right which no just government will deny. I believe in the policy of reducing the hours of tho American wage-earner and prohibit the employment of chil dren of tender and immature yours in classes of lnbor tlmt retard the development of mind and body. I am opposed to the admission of Chinese and Japanese laborers in competition with our intelligent and independent workingman. I am in hearty accord with the principles and policies of President Iloosevclt. For United States Senator I will vote for the Republican candidate who receives the largest vote in the Primary elec tion.
