Suggestions
GEO. N. FARRIN
To my Follow Itcpiiblicans of Coos County:
1 am u candidate for the nomination for Itcpresontutive
for Coos county, ami submit tho following brief statement of
principles for your consideration.
1 am a Cops county boy, bom and raised in Coos county;
worked in the logging camps, mills, and upon the farms of
Coos county, in order to earn money to finish my education.
Wo, of Coos county, are on the eve of a groat develop
ment, and much can be done by our delegation In the Iogis
. laturo to promote or retnid our progress.
My policy if elected shall be Coos county first, Inst, and
all the time.
I am in favor of an amendment to the Constitution of
the United States, providing for the election of United States
senator by a direct vote of the people.
1 am in favor of such legislation as shall secure and pro
tect the American workingman in ids rights, and favor amend
ing the labor lien laws of the State so as to fully protect tho
laborerjn all occupations. .For upon the welfare of this clnss
of our citizens depends the stability of our government. The
right 'to organize for protection against tho encroachments of
capital is an inherent right which no just government will
deny. I believe in the policy of reducing the hours of tho
American wage-earner and prohibit the employment of chil
dren of tender and immature yours in classes of lnbor tlmt
retard the development of mind and body.
I am opposed to the admission of Chinese and Japanese
laborers in competition with our intelligent and independent
workingman.
I am in hearty accord with the principles and policies of
President Iloosevclt.
For United States Senator I will vote for the Republican
candidate who receives the largest vote in the Primary elec
tion. Any legislation that tends to promote the interest of Coos
county will have my earnest support.
If you are in accord with these principles I usk your co
operation. Yours to serve,
GEO. X. FAKRIX.
