Meyer, manager of the Redmond Creamery Company, o Redmond, was in Madras and northern Crook County the lat ter part of last week looking after the interest of his com pany, which has recently com menced the manufacture of but ter and ice cream at their new plant. Mr. Meyer made arrangements while in the city for the handling of the creamery nroducts with several of the local merchants. Blair, of Youngs, is in town today attending the law suit between Mrs. Indiana Wills and Mr. Sanwig that came up before Judge Jackson. John W. Evirs, of Kalispell, . Montana, . was in Madras the ' latter part of the week, later go ing to Culver, looking over government land. Mr. Evirs expects toTemain several weeks in Central Oregon. Mrs. Oliver Powell, of Prineville, a daughter of Mrs. A. Zell, has been visiting with her mother several days, returning to her home Tuesday accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Zell. Miss Jessie Isham, who has been . spending several months past in the Willamette Valley, returned to Madras Friday even ing, and will remain here for sometime. N. L. Nelson, representative of the Law Union and Rock Island Insurance Company, of London, was in Madras this week looking after 'his business. Prineville mail which has been going from Culver to the county seat since tne railroad days in Central Oregon, was not discon tinued March 1st, according to expectations. M. E. Brink has been urged by friends to make the race for County Judge bnt he declines the honor. Mr Brink will not be a candidate. Andrew Morrow of Grizzly, was in Prineville Saturday.
