T he P oint .—A well known Repub lican, whose name appears on the call for the mass meeting to-morrow, ex hibited a deal of truth when he ad mitted that the sole object of this movement was to defeat the Demo cratic party, and they had no hope of doing it otherwise. Democrats should consider this well. Those hypocritical referetlces to one-man power, packed conventions, and complimentary no tices of Democrats not on the ticket, are only intended to divert attention from the main issue. Democrats should not bo deceived by the advances of these wily tricksters. If you have the interests of your party at heart stand squarely up to your principles and the ticket.
