The annular eclipse of the sun will take place on the 22d of Feb ruary, early in the morning. It will not he visible here, however, hut will lie seen best at |>oints south of Austra lia. A partial eclipse of the moon will take place February 17th, about 5:3(1 o’clock in the morning. It will be on ly partly visible here. On the 29th there will be a total eclipse of the sun, which will be visible here, although not totally. The line of total eclipse, or its totality, will extend from the Gulf of Mexico, in a northwesterly di rection, to Behring's Straits, and conse quently points in Idaho will he very favorable for successful operations.
