Wm. M. Turner will shortly leave for Oakland, Oregon, on business con nected with retorting the cinnabar from the Emetine mine, on Beaver creek, at the Nonpareil works there. Senator Herriu’s memorial asking Congress to appropriate $66,000 to build a wagon road from Arch Rock Harbor, on the Coast, to Fort Klamath, has been adopted by both branches of the Legislature. The bill for the relief of B. F. Dow ell ami Jesse Applegate, the sureties of S. E. May, allowing (hem to pay the indebtedness in State bonds, has passed the Senate. We learn that it is not all the originators desired. The State Fair Is over and was a success, but the receipts lacked consid erably of coming up to last year’s.
