Cwmdine was called to the chair. f. R. Farish acted as secretary. He stated the object of the meeting, viz. : To discuss the question of loaning grain bags, and the establiaMog of nnifoiro eharei by warehousemen. A motion to appoint a eontmittee of five to examine and report with recom mendations on tliee subjects evoked general discussion. On the piestion of. warehouse charge , the prevailing senti ment was in favor of local or section organizations which should fix charges with relation to the best intereata o wheat growers a; well as the wr.re housemen of the many neighborhoods of the valle;-, rather than attempt co operation in a state organization. A committe of three consisting of B F. Siller, H. W. Smith and H. C. Ray mond were appointed to make recom mendations with regard to the disposi tion ot sacks. Iney ouered the follow ing resolution: It is the judgment of your committee that warehousemen should sell sacks to farmers at the market price? at the time of pm chase. When the farmer brings his wheat and f-ells the same he is to receive pay for sacks filled with wheat at the market price at the time of selling. Said sicks must be iu good merchantable condition. After considerable discussion the jlutioti was lost by a vote of 9 to 7. BygSeral consent and request near ly every merger present gave his views in regard to graX bags, and all phases ofthe question wero thorougly discussed. Finally the following resolution was adopted by nearly a unanimous vote: This meeting recomends that millers and warehousemen sell sucks to farmers instead of loaning them.
