As Edict. At the next State Fair the ' Jady equestrian will be effectually restrained from appearing "strung minded." Hiding faster than a "moderate gallop'' will be pro hibited, and any attempt at a Mazeppaian display of speed or "punish" will not only bo peremptorily frowned down, but will ex clude the fair equestrienne front all claims to premiums. What a nice, steady, sedate, easy-going Fair that -will lie, t be sure ! Wouldn't it be a good idea to make the fair contestants wear thick veils, a the women of the Orient, and droop their heads forward on their breasts so as not show their pretty faces to the admiring multitude? Gov. Ballsed, uf Idaho, visited hi old friends and b-ime in Linn County during the week.
