With the sailors striking all over the United States we now more than ever appreciate what it means when a fellow says "Tell U to the Marines." ANNUAL SCHOOL DAY To the man who says there is "nothing new under the sun" the - Argus respectfully points to the gentleman in Washington, D. C, who took a mammoth case out ot the hands of the U. S. Supreme Court with more ease than a den tist pulls a molar. The Argus suggest that Mr. Hughes, of Washington, D. C, procure several dosen goat glands to put a little "pep" into that proposed mediation move ment and if he has any left over he can insert them in that "As sociation of Nations" to preserve peace. ! . There is no thinking man who can object to the appointment ol John Ireland to the1 vacancy on the county board of commission ers. He is a man of judgment and reliability and he is a man Bigoty esteemed. You always know where to find John Ireland ad that is one reason why he wiu nuke a good public official. The Argus feels that Judge uoodia and Commissioner Wis mer have made a wise selection.
