OMSI Exhibit on Arctic Thaw -- “Digging into Permafrost” is a new exhibit at OMSI addressing the subject of climate change as viewed through the lens of a thawing Arctic using exciting interactive features such as an Alaskan permafrost tunnel replica, fossil research stations and interactive games. Robot Revolution -- A new exhibit at OMSI brings some of the most innovative robots from all over the History Hub -- Oregon Historical Society exhibit for young people explores the topic of diversity with in- teractive objects and pictures that tell the stories of the people of Oregon, past and present. With puzzles, touch screen activities and board games, History Hub asks students to consider questions like “Who is an Oregonian?,” “How has discrimination and segrega- tion affected people who live in Oregon?,” and “How can you make Oregon a great place for everyone?” Zoo for All -- The Oregon Zoo has launched “Zoo for All,” a new discount program that provides $5 admis- sion for low income individuals and families. Visitors may purchase up to six of the $5 tickets by brining a photo ID and documentation showing they partic- ipate in low income service, like the Oregon Trial Card, Medicaid, Section 8, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, and Head Start. Discount Tickets -- Low income families and indi- viduals can purchase $5 tickets to classical musical performances in Portland as part of a unique program called Music for All.
