On July 25, 2005, close to 10 p.m., 26-year-old Eyo Nyong, known casually as “Black,” was standing not far from the former L.V. Sports Bar parking lot, which was located in the 3500 block of North Vancouver Avenue. Witnesses report that two black men approached Nyong and en- gaged him in conversation, when one of them pulled a gun and fired, Nyong was a regular of the bar. He was survived by both of his parents and five of his own young children. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up $1,000 for in- formation that could help this case push forward and lead to an arrest.
