I am called to this because I can bring the world closer, in my own way, through the stories I tell. It’s im portant to be able to have everyone’s story told. Your play is about an African family, is that inspired by your own family? My family definitely inspired me while I was writing this. Also, growing up in Africa. It’s impor tant, especially in America, for every culture to have a place.
