PSU Faculty Strike Possible After 10 months of bargaining, the American Association of University Professors of Portland State University declared Monday they are at an impasse and closer to a potential strike. Federal Reserve Names Charles Wilhoite The Federal Reserve Bank has appointed Portland businessman and com munity leader Charles Wilhoite to its San Francisco circle of economic advisers, it was reported Monday. W ilhoite’s appointment is set for a three- year term. Benson Students March to Save Football More than 100 students marched to the Portland School Board meeting Monday night after the school district’s athletic director Marshall Haskins submitted a fall football schedule to the state that did not include a Benson team. A final decision on the fate of Benson’s football program has yet been made, officials said. Serial Motel Robber Arrested Winter Olympics Farewell A man has been arrested by Portland Police as a suspect in a string of alleged robberies in Oregon and Washington. Ernest Lee Dean, 50, was detained by authorities Friday in what police called The 2014 Sochi Olympics wrapped up Sunday with a farewell show that handed off the Winter Games to their next host: Pyeongchang, South Korea. The closing ceremony crowd was in a party mood after the high-security games passed off safely without feared terror attacks.
