Charles and Carolyn Hinton celebrate 60 years o f marriage. 60th Wedding Anniversary ! Charles and Carolyn Hinton will celebrate their 60th wedding anni versary on Tuesday, April 3, at a gathering for family and friends. They were m arried in 1952 in Vancouver, Wash. The couple traveled extensively while Charles served in the Navy for 23 years, retiring as a Chief Boat swain Mate. He worked for Code- A-Phone for 15 years. The Hinton’s also owned Chuck Hinton’s Rib Express for 10 years. Charles is now doing DJ work and is known in the community as “DJ Papa Chuck.” C aro ly n w o rk ed at C row n Zellerback/Rexam G raphics as a lab technician for 25 years, retir ing in 1999. She now works at Portland Community College part tim e. She is also an usher at A insw orth U nited C hurch o f Christ, where she served as an A m bassador for the 2011 “W or ship in W eekend” Sunday.
